Penn H.S. Academic Super Bowl teams win 5 of 6 competitions

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Penn High School's six Academic Super Bowl teams overpowered a 14-team Warsaw Invitational field on Monday night as the Kingsmen won a total of five of the six areas of competition.

The topic for Academic Super Bowl across Indiana for 2012 is "Colonial and Revolutionary America".

Academic Super Bowl teams are made up of three competitors from each school competing at one time. Halfway through each round, substitutions are allowed, but the captain must remain in the contest throughout each round. Each round consists of 25 questions with the highest score winning.

In addition to those five subject titles, the Kingsmen also won the overall championship of the meet, easily topping 2nd place Northwood and 3rd place Concord, followed by Northridge in 4th and Warsaw, Wawasee and Goshen in a tie for fifth, overall.
