
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Parks invites you to "live history in your backyard" at Cook's Bison Ranch on May 31, where you'll learn about history of the American Bison and ride a covered wagon into a herd.
This event costs $16, and participants are required to register online ahead of time.
Attendees will be able to pet and feed bison from the wagon.
The cost of the event also includes a bison burger meal.
Parks officials will give 10 participants a ride from the Oxbow Haus shelter in Oxbow County Park to the bison ranch. Those wishing to ride in their van must arrive at the shelter by 10 a.m. You can specify if you'd like to ride in the van when you register.
Other participants can meet directly at Cook's Bison Ranch, located at 5645 E. 600S. Wolcottville, Ind., before the tour starts at 11 a.m.
