WARSAW, Ind. --- The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is warning residents about another telephone scam.
Deputies say people are getting phone calls from a person who claims a family member or employee is in jail and needs bail money,
The caller will then ask the victim to forward money for bail, fines and court costs through a prepaid money card.
The caller will often portray themselves as a police officer, deputy or member of the jail staff.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department will not call you soliciting for bail money for any person in jail.
