PHOTOS: Adidas and Notre Dame unveil new techfit football uniforms

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Check out the new look for this year's Notre Dame Shamrock Series football uniform.

The university sent over these photos on Thursday afternoon after Adidas and Notre Dame unveiled the new TECHFIT football uniforms.

The uniform is a classic blue jersey with gold metallic numbers and IRISH in a Celtic font. The helmet is gold with a blue section and a large white leprechaun graphic. The leprechaun logo even appears on the gloves when the player joins their hands together.

But that's not all. Addidas designed the jersey to weigh less, breath when the players are in action on the field, and increase their range of motion for top sport performance.

The Irish will wear these on Oct. 6 when they host the Miami Hurricanes at Soldier Field in Chicago for the Shamrock Series game.
