Pierceton man charged in attempted burglary
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A Pierceton man was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly trying to break into the Number One Bait and Tackle Store in Kosciusko County.
Officers from North Webster, Pierceton and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the store at SR 13 and CR 350 N at 6:21 a.m. for reports of a burglary in progress.
Officers were advised the suspect vehicle was headed southbound on CR 850 E headed towards Jellystone Campground.
A Pierceton officer saw the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as Joshua Todd Eyer, was taken into custody.
Eyer was charged with felony theft and attempted burglary of a business.
He is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail with a $5,000.00 bond.
