Plenty of live music and food at Labor Day picnic

ELKHART, Ind. -- The city Elkhart was buzzing on Monday with the city's Labor Day picnic.

The fun started at Island Park where there was plenty of food and live music for folks to enjoy.

There was also a Labor Day parade.

"The labor movement we like to say brought you the eight hour work day. The labor movement brought you vacations. The labor movement brought you health insurance," said Tony Flora, the president of the North Central Indiana AFL-CIO. "The labor movement brought you so many things we take for second nature in modern life."

The city will cap the day off with a fireworks display.
