PLYMOUTH, Ind. - The Plymouth Community School Corporation announced they have applied and qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision in partnership with the USDA and IDOE, enabling them to provide free lunch to all PCSC students for the 2024- 2025 school year.
School officials say the Community Eligibility Program allows school districts to offer free meals to all students without requiring families to submit individual applications for meal assistance.
Director of Food Service, Amy Kraszyk, stated, "Plymouth Community School Corporation has decided to partner with the USDA and IDOE for the Community Eligibility Provision. This agreement allows us to offer meals at no cost to all students based on our identified student percentage. We hope that this provision will provide relief to our PCSC families while serving the same nutritious and delicious school meals that our students love."
Plymouth school officials encourage families to take full advantage of this program.
The program will begin at the start of the 2024-2025 school year.
The school corporation also adds they look forward to seeing the positive impact this program will have on families in the community.
