ELKHART, Ind. -
Elkhart Police have confirmed the two people found in a parked van in a vacant lot at 58077 Edgewood Street are dead.
According to police, officers arrived on scene at approximately 2:20 p.m. to find the body of a Hispanic male in the driver's seat and the body of a Hispanic female in the passenger seat.
The Elkhart County Coroner is on the scene and is helping with the investigation.
Autopsies are scheduled for Sunday at 8 a.m. in Kalamazoo.
More details will be released as the scene continues to unfold.
