Police continue to search for carjacking suspect

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Police are still searching for a man who carjacked a couple on Christmas.
The incident happened north of St. Peter Street near Notre Dame.
Police said a couple stopped to get out of their car at a friend's house. And a man pointed a gun at them.
The man then took off in their 1994 orange Chevy Camaro.
That led to a police chase.
When the suspect jumped out of the car, he left it in gear rolling down an alley. Which eventually blocked police from capturing him.
The suspect then fled on foot.
