Police find 44 packages of fentanyl, 31 packages of crack during Benton Harbor drug raid

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Michigan State Police are seeking charges against two people in connection with a drug raid at a home in Benton Harbor.

Detectives found 44 packages of fentanyl, 31 packages of crack cocaine and a gun during the raid, the latter of which was tucked into a self-help book at the residence. Police said the suspect also stole several street signs.

Charges are being sought against a 44-year-old Benton Harbor man and his wife. The man was not at home at the time of the raid.

Both are expected to be charged with the following:

  • Larceny of street signs
  • Possession with intent to deliver crack-cocaine
  • Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
  • Maintaining a drug house
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

Children’s Protective Services was called to remove a child living in the home.
