Police: Fuel siphoned from vehicles at two different businesses on same day

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—According to the Elkhart Police Department, fuel was siphoned from vehicles at two different businesses on Charlotte Avenue on May 20.

On May 20, around 7:29 a.m., officers responded to a theft report at Accessa, located in the 2300 Charlotte Avenue. Overnight, an unknown individual siphoned about 35 gallons of diesel fuel from a company truck parked out front, the report said.

Around 4:24 p.m. later that day, officers responded to a theft report at Alta Trucking, located in the 2300 block of Charlotte Avenue. Sometime over the weekend, an unknown individual siphoned about 60 gallons of diesel fuel from a company semi-truck parked in the parking lot, according to the report.

No witnesses were present for either incident.
