MUNCIE, Ind. – The Muncie Police Department and the community participated in a water balloon fight aimed at improving community relationships and spreading positivity.
Nearly one hundred kids attended and one thousand water balloons were tossed.
The police department wants to emphasize the importance of unity and to help keep kids out of trouble.
“I think every police department in the world should do something like this. It helps in de-escalation of situations for them as well. It helps them be seen as who they are” Josh Zacharias said, a father who was at the event.
This is the second time the Muncie Police Department has participated an event like this.
