Police investigate two vehicle crash in Cass County
Several children were injured in a crash that happened Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Dailey Road and Peavine Street, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
The initial investigation revealed a 32-year-old woman from Cassopolis was traveling westbound failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman from Colorado, according to deputies.
Both cars then ran off the roadway and down an embankment.
The 32-year-old woman had 5 children in her vehicle at the time of the crash. The children were transported to the hospital following the crash.
Seat belts and car seats were used at the time of the crash.
Alcohol and narcotics are not believed to be factors in the crash.
