Bicyclist killed in crash involving semi in South Bend, roads closed in the area

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – An investigation is underway after a semi-truck hit a pedestrian on a bicycle at the intersection of South Olive Street and W. Western Avenue, South Bend officers said.
Police were called to the scene at 11:26 a.m. for reports of a crash involving injuries.
South Bend Police confirmed the pedestrian on a bike has died.
Roads in the area are shut down in all directions, officials said.
FACT is taking over the investigation.
