Police investigating after shots fired at Elkhart Kroger

ELKHART, Ind. -- A vehicle was damaged during a shots fired incident at the Kroger on W. Hively Avenue Friday afternoon, according to Elkhart Police.

Around 4 p.m., police were dispatched to the Kroger store for reports of a fight.

Police learned there was a fight in the store between acquaintances and after the subjects left the store, gunshots were fired.

At that time, police couldn't find any people with injuries or any property damage.

Police were later told there was damage to a vehicle belonging to one of the subjects involved in the fight. The person's car had been struck by gunfire.
