Police investigating burglary at Elkhart church

ELKHART, Ind.—A burglary at a local church is under investigation, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

On July 22 around 5:38 p.m., officers were sent to the Canaan Baptist Church in the 900 block of Fieldhouse Ave., regarding a burglary.

Police learned that sometime between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. that day, an unknown person entered the church and took items including a Dell desktop computer and a Dell laptop.

It is unclear how the suspect gained entry into the church.

The incident remains under investigation.
