Police investigating death of man whose body was found in Singer Lake

Police are investigating the death of a man who was reported missing on Tuesday morning. His body was found a short time later in Singer Lake.

Family members contacted the Baroda-Lake Township Police around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday to report 89-year-old Leonard Tollas missing.

While officers were taking the missing person report, a family member went out looking for Tollas and his vehicle.

The family member called back a short time later and said they found Tollas' vehicle at the Singer Lake public access.

When the officer arrived to Singer Lake a body matching Tollas' description was found floating in the water near a grassy area.

One witness said they saw Tollas standing by his vehicle. Another witness said they saw Tollas standing partially in the water.
