SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police were dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of West Western Avenue Monday evening after being told someone was suffering from a gunshot wound there.
Police say they responded and that person was transported to Memorial Hospital in an ambulance. They're condition is not known at this time.
According to police, that call came out around 7:15 p.m., just minuets after there were reports of shots fired near the intersection of Walnut and Ford Streets in South Bend.
Police say both incidents were separate dispatch calls, however they could be related. They are continuing their investigation at this time.
Police detained one person for questioning at the home on Western Avenue but do not have any suspects at this time.
