Police investigating shooting involving father and son

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night at a home on E. Broadway.

Police say a 78-year-old man shot his son in the abdomen.

The son is still recovering from his injuries.

"Fires a gun, the bullet ends up hitting his son. He was treated at a local hospital for non life threatening injuries and we are still investigating," said South Bend Police Captain Scott Hanley.

Police say they are still investigating.
