Police investigating shooting on Dubail

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night on Dubail. The victim suffered serious injuries.

Police were called to the 900 block of E. Dubail around 8:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

When police arrived they were told there were no injuries, but the home was struck by gunfire.

A short time later, police were notified of a gunshot victim who had arrived at a local hospital. The victim was taken into surgery with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Police determined the victim was shot on Dubail.

The South Bend Police Shooting Response Team responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
