Goshen Police are investigating a shooting that happened on River Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, Steve Friend, told police two suspects drove him and a friend to the 400 block of River Avenue around 1 p.m.
Once at the location, one of the suspects struck Friend with a handgun and he was shot in the leg below the knee, according to reports.
The two suspects got back in the vehicle and fled the area, police said.
Friend and his companion asked a resident to call 9-1-1.
Friend was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, police said.
The suspects were driving a silver Nissan Altima and were gone before police arrived, police said.
Police said the suspects are known, but their current whereabouts are not.
