ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating an arson case after a truck was found on fire along South Main Street on Sunday.  

At 5:02 p.m., an officer arrived to the 1500 block of South Main Street for an arson case involving a dark blue 2018 Dodge Ram truck.

The Deputy Fire Marshal said his units were called to the scene before police.

The fire had been put out and during the investigation, they discovered that gasoline had been poured down the windshield and then lit on fire, according to reports.

No arrests have been at this time.

The case has been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
