Police Officers and SWAT conduct welfare check in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Police say several officers and SWAT were called to the corner of Mishawaka St and 32nd Street for a welfare check on Tuesday.

Police also say they are taking the necessary precautions due to possible weapon involvement.

There is no knowledge of any standoff at this time.
