GRANGER, Ind – Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Monday morning in a Granger neighborhood near the Indiana, Michigan state line.
The stabbing happened in the 50000 block of Tecumseh Drive, just north of Adams Road around 9 a.m.
When officers arrived on the scene they found three victims with stab wounds.
According to St. Joseph County Officials, the victims were Malaki Bohannon, 13, Melna Tagalog, 66, and Michael Tagalog, 41.
All three people were residents of the home and were transferred to a local hospital.
Melna Tagalog was treated and released.
Bohannon had received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Michael Tagalog was being treated for serious injuries and has undergone surgery. He remains in serious condition.
Police said that Michael Tagalog could have been the aggressor in this stabbing and it is possible that his wounds were self-inflicted.
Neighbors said they were shocked by the police activity in their neighborhood and described the family as one who kept to themselves and never caused any problems.
County Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are working together to determine appropriate charges and to investigate this incident further.
