Police respond to threat at Elkhart Central High School

Elkhart Police are investigating threats  to cause harm at Elkhart Central High School.

Police learned of the threats, which were posted to social media, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police notified officers working at the school and officers patrolling the streets.

Police also worked with school administrators to establish an action plan.

The area in and around the school was searched but police did not locate anything.

Extra precautions were put in place to protect the safety of students.
