Body found at Tiscornia Beach tentatively identified

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Police say the woman whose body was found in Lake Michigan off Tiscornia Beach Wednesday afternoon may be a woman reported missing from Chicago, according to the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety.
Officers were dispatched to the beach around 6 p.m. after someone located a woman's body floating in Lake Michigan.
Police said the woman was Asian, approximately 55 years of age and was wearing a dark green jacket and sweatpants.
They said she matched the description of a Chicago woman who has been reported missing.
An autopsy was conducted on Thursday. There was no trauma to the body, reports said.
The name of the victim will not be released until positive identification is made.
