Police searching for 2 men suspected of robbing a SB Jimmy Johns

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a Jimmy Johns in South Bend.

According to police, the robbery happened just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Cleveland and Portage.

Police tell ABC57 that two men in hoodies walked inside of the Jimmy Johns. One of the men had a gun and asked for all the money in the register.

Both men then fled the scene according to police.  Police say tried using surveillance video from surrounding businesses to help them locate the suspects. They also brought in police dogs to scene. 

ABC57 talked with the managers of the Meijer, McDonald's and Burger King near the robbery and they say they are not are worried about the robbery. They tell ABC57 that a robbery is a rare occurrence in the area.
