Police searching for suspects involved in shooting at Benton Township home
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—The Benton Township Police Department is searching for suspects after shell casings and bullet holes were found at a man’s home on April 7.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Clardelle Ave. on April 7 at 10:32 p.m. for reports of gunshots being fired into a home.
The resident of the home told police that he was walking from the kitchen to his bedroom when he heard multiple gunshots and realized his home was being shot at. He then called 911.
Officers found multiple shell casings in the driveway and street in front of the home. Several bullet holes were also located in the exterior front living room wall and window.
No injuries were reported in the incident, only damage to the property.
Witnesses told police that a dark color sedan type vehicle was seen leaving the area right after the shooting, traveling east on Clardelle Ave.
Benton Township Police have not located any suspects at this time.
