ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- St. Joseph Township Police have identified the suspects in an armed home invasion and attempted breaking and entering incidents on March 17.

They are seeking charges against six juveniles in the case.

The charges include attempted breaking and entering, home invasion, unlawful driving away a motor vehicle, armed robbery, felony firearms and larceny of mail.

Police said they appreciated the help of members of the public who came forward to help identify the suspects.

Around 7:20 p.m. on March 17, police were dispatched to the area of Miami and Cayuga for a suspicious person call. Several people in hooded sweatshirts were wandering around the area.

A short time later, police responded to an alarm at a nearby residence after someone attempted to break in. While investigating, they identified a second home where it appeared someone had tried to break in.

At 8:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a home on Elm Terrace for an armed home invasion.

Several people entered a home and held the resident at gunpoint. A vehicle was stolen from the residence. There were no injuries.

Police released surveillance video of the suspects the following day.
