Police seeking tips in death of dog found on school grounds

Mishawaka Police are asking for tips in an animal cruelty investigation after a dog was killed and left within a locked, gated area at Emmons Elementary Monday morning.

The dog's owner, who did not want to go on camera, said she is extremely distraught over her dog's death.

She says it was not normal for Baby Girl to run off.

She hopes the efforts on social media will help lead to an arrest in her dog's death.

Anyone with information should contact the Mishawaka Police Department Detective Bureau, Lt. Doug Grow, 574-258-1684.
