Police: Tips stop in Chris Simril murder investigation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Lead investigator Lt. David Wells with Metro Homicide told ABC 57 News Friday that the tip calls into the murder investigation of Chris Simril have stopped.

"Tips have pretty much dried up," Wells said.

Simril was shot several times to death at Walkerfield Park February 26th. Wells said at this point they don't have a motive.

No people of interest or suspect have been made during the 4th week of the investigation.

"What we are doing is asking fro the public's help, who might know anything about the shooting to give us a call here at homicide.

"Somebody out there knows something. Somebody out there knows exactly what happened and again you can remain anonymous and call CrimeStoppers or call us down here at the office and give us that information, we're looking for help," Wells admitted.
