Police urge residents to lock vehicles following rash of break-ins

NEW BUFFALO, Mich. – New Buffalo City Police are urging neighbors to lock their vehicles as a rash of break-ins happened over the weekend.

NBCP say 10 vehicles were broken into between Friday and Sunday, all happening from midnight to 3 a.m.

The vehicles were in various neighborhoods throughout the city but all had one thing in common – they were unlocked.

Police note the suspects ransacked the vehicles, taking any money or items of value.
