The most extreme heat and humidity will subside, but the forecast remains very humid through the weekend. The heat index will peak in the low-to-mid 90s, each afternoon. The chance of much needed rain also develops. Pop-up, non-severe storms will be in the forecast through early next week. Most of the day will be dry, but there will be a few hours, primarily in the afternoon / evening when scattered storms develop. This may require a quick change of plans, to dodge the rain.
