Porch shooting trial continues in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. -- Thursday was the second day of the porch shooting trial in Detroit.

Theodore Wafer admitted to killing Renisha McBride in November and told police then it was an accident.

Prosecutors played a dash-cam recording of comments the suspect made to officers when they arrived at his home.

A 9-1-1 dispatcher testified during the second day of the trial.

"He'd said that he shot by accident, that he thought the gun was unloaded," said Peppers the 911 dispatcher.

The 55-year-old is charged with second-degree murder.

McBride was unarmed but also apparently drunk when she knocked on Wafer's door.

He has pleaded not guilty claiming self defense.
