SOUTH BEND, Ind. --  Portage Township trustee's office is hosting a press confrence tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. to discuss November SNAP benefit disruptions.  Due to the Federal Shutdown, the USDA has alerted states, including Indiana, that November EBT funds may not be fully accessible. Today, Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration has been told to temporarily halt benefit processing until further notice.

Portage Township will host a press conference addressing the impact on thousands of South Bend families and will call for extra community support for the Portage Food Pantry in anticipation.
