Portage Township Trustee's office remains open following multi-vehicle crash into building

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Portage Township Trustee's office is still open following a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and William Street Sunday night that damaged the building.

Both of the vehicles involved in the crash hit different areas of the building, causing significant damage that will need to be repaired.

The damage, however, does not prevent office employees from operating during normal hours.

“We are grateful that the damage was not worse and we will be able to continue operating as normal for the residents of Portage Township," said Trustee Jason Critchlow. "Our thoughts are with the drivers of the vehicles and hope they recover from any injuries that may have received.”
