Possible California school shooting prevented

SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. -- Just days before school was set to start, police in South Pasadena, California thwarted what they are calling a serious plot to kill.

Tuesday, the two high school boys behind the plan are under arrest.

Police say the 16-and 17-year-olds were researching how to build an arsenal.

Their plan was only in the early stages, but it was set to kill three staff members and as many students as possible.

The students were arrested after three days of surveillance.
