SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Today children got to see some wild animals for free.
It was the Potawatomi Zoo’s annual Free-admission Children’s Day
All kids 14 and under gained free admission to the zoo and got a free goodie bag from United Federal Credit Union who helped sponsor the event, organizers say it's just one more way to connect with the community and make the zoo more accessible to everyone.
Zoo Director Josh Sisk says this was the busiest day of the year for the zoo last year with over 7,000 visitors and he expects the same today.
