Potawatomi Zoo lights up for the holidays

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Potawatomi Zoo is bringing The Gift of Lights event to the public for the holidays. The special holiday lights happen during the last weekend of November up until almost Christmas.

The event will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night from 5 to 9 p.m. between November 27th and December 20th.

Due to COVID-19, timed entry tickets will be required and can be bought on the Zoo’s website.

Santa will be at the Red Barn on each night of the event from 6 to 8 p.m.

Special guest Elsa will visit the Zoo on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Masks must be worn for everyone age 8 and up upon entry and when social distancing is not possible.

“The Zoo has taken precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests attending this event, and we’re excited to give people the opportunity to be outside with friends and family this holiday season,” said Josh Sisk, executive director of the Potawatomi Zoo.
