Power outage reported on Notre Dame campus

A fault in an electrical distribution system caused a power outage on the Notre Dame campus Monday afternoon.

Smoke from the system led to initial reports of a fire, but according to Dennis Brown, University Spokesman, there was no fire.

The power outage affected 15 buildings on the south side of campus from about 1:10 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
