Power outages from strong winds

More than 2000 people are without power in Berrien County Thursday morning as a result of strong winds and gusts.

If you are one of those people affected by a power outage this morning, the Red Cross says to use flashlights and not candles

Check refrigerated food for spoilage.

The Red Cross says if in doubt, throw it out.

If you do still have power, it’s important to prepare for the worst case scenario.

Charge up your electronics and have extra batteries on hand for flashlights.
