President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden arrive in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden landed at South Bend International Airport this Saturday, prompting the temporary closure of the airport’s airspace and surrounding roads.

The President’s arrival led to heightened security measures, including the shutdown of the U.S. 20 bypass and nearby routes. Local law enforcement coordinated these efforts to ensure the safety and smooth transit of the presidential motorcade.

The President and First Lady left the airport and were enroute to downtown South Bend. Sources have confirmed that Joe and Jill Biden were at Notre Dame for a wedding at the Basilica for a personal friend.
