President Obama meets with South Korea's leader

President Obama met with South Korea's leader in an effort to show a solid front to North Korea after months of threats.

The new South Korean leader discussed tensions that have been escalating on the Korean peninsula by the North's young leader Kim Jong Un.

"If Pyongyang thought its recent threats would drive a wedge between South Korea and the United States or somehow garner the North international respect, today's further evidence that North Korea has failed again," said Obama.

The meeting comes after the North removed two missiles from its launch site earlier this week.
