President Obama signs farm bill in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. -- President Obama plans on signing the new farm bill into law in Lansing on Friday.

The 2014 farm bill will have wide-reaching impacts on farmers across the country and especially those in Michigan.

The bill will cut about $8 billion from the food stamp program over the next 10-years.

It should consolidate land and water conservation programs and will make sure farmers have access to crop insurance.
