'Pride of the South Side' leaves for New Orleans

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Riley School Band left for New Orleans on Saturday.
They will be playing at the half time show for the All-State Sugar Bowl.
The Wildcat Marching Band will join other bands from across the country in the half time show.
Band members could not be more excited.
"It means a lot. It's a great opportunity and it's really honoring to know that Bowl Games of America would pick us for this opportunity," said Jeremiah Easterbrook. "Seniors have told me about what to expect on the trip and I'm expecting a lot of fun, so it should be great.
The Sugar Bowl is Wednesday Jan. 2 on ESPN at 8:30 p.m..
Florida will face off against Louisville.
