SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Symetra Tour Players took time to tour Beacon Children’s Hospital and visit patients Wednesday afternoon.
Jayden White is a patient with bone cancer. He connected with players while playing putt-putt.
Jayden’s mom, Samantha White, appreciated the interaction with the players. “It gives him something to look forward to and brighten his spirits.”
Symetra Golfer Jordan Britt was touched by the experience. “It’s really great seeing these kids smile and have fun and want to still be kids even though whatever they might be going through takes them outside of what other kids might get to experience.”
Over seven years, the Four Winds Invitational has given half a million dollars in proceeds to Beacon Children’s Hospital. The tour of the facilities let players see first hand how they’re making an impact.
