Prosecutor declines to file charges in alleged bus incident

The Berrien County Prosecutor's Office has declined to file charges in an alleged incident involving a First Student transportation bus attendant and a student, according to Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police.

Jennifer Mitchell told ABC57 on October 28th her 9-year-old son Benjamin was slapped by a bus attendant on October 19.

She said Benjamin has down syndrome.

On October 28, First Student Busing told ABC57 the attendant was fired and they are continuing to conduct an investigation.
