Purdue fires head football coach Danny Hope

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- It's the end of the road for Danny Hope.
About 24 hours after winning the Old Oaken Bucket against rival Indiana, the university's athletic director announced he fired Hope.
Receivers coach Patrick Higgins is taking over as the interim coach for the Boilermakers' next game.
