Purdue grad heading to London Games
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A Purdue graduate be among the athletes representing team USA at the 2012 Olympic Games.
This will be the second time that David Boudia has represented Indiana.
Boudia is a platform diver from Noblesville and continues to train at Purdue's aquatic center.
He says it's all about honoring his faith, family and community.
"When you into the Olympic games, you obviously want a gold medal. It is on everyone's mind, but that is something you have to put on the shelf and then find the balance of why you are doing the Olympic games," Boudia said.
Boudia competed in the Beijing Summer Olympic Games in 2008.
He says he feels more confident and more prepared this year. And no matter what happens in London, it will be an honor to be there.
