Hot and Humid Independence Day, Storms return Sunday
The fall season to date has been very dry, almost two inches below normal. Wednesday will start with scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. There’s a break in the rainy pattern from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, before more rain Friday and Saturday. By Saturday more than an inch of rain could fall across the area. Temperatures will be milder and still above normal.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, chance of rain late, high of 72.
